Overview

PLAY VILLAGE BY OPEN PLAYHOUSE is a family restaurant nestled in the heart of Citta Mall, Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya. It caters especially well to families seeking a blend of dining and play under one roof. The venue provides a spacious, well-thought-out environment where children can freely explore two playground areas, including a trampoline and various play facilities designed to keep young ones engaged and active.

The restaurant's main appeal lies in its dual-purpose concept—delicious meals coupled with a lively, interactive play zone. Parents can relax over coffee or a meal while their children expend energy safely in a vibrant setting. The food offerings, stretching from comfort classics to child-friendly dishes, come with satisfactory portions and quality. While some dishes and drinks, such as coffee, have received mixed feedback regarding flavor and preparation, catered events like birthday parties are highly praised for their seamless execution and appetizing menus.

Another notable feature is the small pet zone that adds an extra layer of excitement for kids, though the animal variety is limited and sometimes less interactive than expected. The overall ambiance is family-centric, making it an ideal weekend destination or a casual stop for parents needing a break while their children play.

The staff at PLAY VILLAGE BY OPEN PLAYHOUSE earn commendations for being attentive and accommodating, particularly in event planning. This hospitality enhances the overall experience, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that families appreciate.

In summary, this establishment suits families looking for a spacious, engaging play environment combined with decent food options and customer-focused service. It stands out in the family restaurant category by balancing dining and leisure effectively, making it a new favorite for many.

My kids and I just love spending time here. The food is good, and my kids get to play at the playground and play with the pets. Whether you’re planning a weekend outing or just need a little break while the kids burn off energy, this is a perfect spot. Definitely a new favourite for us!

Found this play when I googled for restaurants with a playground. It's rm30/ person inclusive of 10+ 6 % tax. Food size was satisfactory and quality was good. We were here for about 2.5 hours and they were only a handful of other families with their children visiting. There were actually 2 play areas here with the main one being very big with various facilities including a trampoline. Children definitely had fun but they hoped for more slides with ball pits.

Visited Play Village on Sunday afternoon, thankfully, no crowds. There wasn’t much happening at the animal zone outside. The hamster was sleeping, and there were only a few small tortoises and fishes. My sons were hoping to see rabbits, so they were a little disappointed. The indoor playground, however, was nice and quite spacious, especially considering it’s inside a café. It’s a good setup for kids to stay occupied while parents sit and relax. Food was below average. We ordered a matcha and a latte and waited about 30 minutes. The matcha wasn’t whisked properly, I could taste clumps of powder halfway through the cup. The latte lacked coffee flavor and tasted quite flat. Service was okay. Overall, it’s decent if you’re going mainly for the indoor playground, but not somewhere I’d go for the food.

From initial discussions to actual event day, the staff and especially the planner, Ms Natasha, were extremely accommodating and very pleasant to work with. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed my daughter’s party and the food was delicious too! Too delicious that I didnt even get to try some of the food! For the price paid it was worth it! We ordered additional whole baked chicken, none was left. Spaghetti bolognese was also finished and the cake (also from them) was absolutely delicious!!! Thanks Open Playhouse for making my daughter’s party very special!

Perfect place to bring the kids when you need them to have fun and seriously burn off energy, while you still get to enjoy a proper meal. It’s one of those rare spots where you can actually be confident the children won’t get bored… even after hours. Hours. And the facilities? Surprisingly comprehensive. For a modest fee, there are baking classes and art classes; fun, hands-on, and genuinely educational. Not just “play-play,” but the kind of activities that build real-life skills and a bit of confidence too. The ambience is right: bright, welcoming, and family-friendly. The food may not be the most mind-blowing in flavour, but it’s clean, wholesome, and healthy enough for kids, which, honestly, is sometimes the bigger win. Overall, this is the kind of place you go when you want your kids happily occupied and you want to breathe again. Stress down. Energy out. Everyone wins (for the next few hours, at least).

Open Playhouse is hands down the best place I've been to for kids. From the moment you walk in, it's clear this place was designed with both children and parents in mind. The entry is smooth and hassle-free, and the whole space is clean, cosy, and welcoming. There are two playground areas that are not only fun and safe for kids, but also perfectly positioned so that parents can keep a close eye on their little ones while enjoying their meals. It's such a relief to be able to dine while still feeling connected and attentive to your kids. The menu is varied and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of choices for both adults and children. Whether you're looking for something healthy or a kid-friendly classic, there’s something for everyone. The meals are tasty, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and experience. Highly recommended for families looking for a stress-free, fun outing. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Awesome indoor playground for my kids. The only improvement i strongly suggest is the marketing for the place (you really dont know that it has a huge indoor playground by just looking at it from the outside).
